Experience

Seth began his legal career as a prosecutor and quickly rose through the ranks. Before long, he was prosecuting the most serious and high-profile cases, including armed violence, sexual assault, and murder. Seth earned a reputation for being a hard-nosed advocate for the victims of crime, and a prosecutor who got results.

After a decade of public service and serving as a State's Attorney, Seth shifted his career path to private practice, becoming “of-counsel” for the largest and one of the most highly respected law firms in downstate Illinois. During his time with the law firm, Seth used his extensive trial experience to serve the needs of his clients. He handled an exceptionally broad range of cases, including representing clients ranging in size from the US's largest railroad company to a mom-and-pop trucking business, from one of the nation's largest insurers to a family-owned bank, and all manner and size of businesses in between. Seth was also able to take advantage of his government background to serve the needs of local counties and municipalities, through employment investigations and handling complex litigation.

With several significant clients desiring even more dedicated service, Seth started his own practice. In addition to continuing to represent his long-term clients, Seth has expanded his practice to include additional tort litigation, real estate transactions, agricultural matters, and a now extensive renewable energy zoning practice.

Background

Seth grew up on a small farm in Central Illinois with his parents and four siblings. The family grew corn and soybeans, as well as raised livestock. After high school, Seth attended Eureka College. In addition to being a two-sport athlete, Seth served as President of Student Government. It was there that he began honing the public speaking skills that would serve him well as a trial attorney.

After achieving his degree with honors, Seth attended Creighton University School of Law. Throughout his time at Creighton Law, Seth continued focusing on the oral advocacy skills he knew he would need to become an effective trial attorney. He excelled in the school's trial advocacy programs, was part of a national championship trial team, and earned the school's highest advocacy awards. After graduating with honors from law school, Seth returned to Central Illinois to put his skills to use serving the communities where he grew up.

​Seth lives with his wife and children in Peoria and serves the community through his involvement on the boards of several non-profit organizations. Seth has never lost sight of the values of hard work and integrity instilled by small-town farm life, which he now puts to use on behalf of his clients. ​
